How long does the job placement take in Austria?
The time needed to find a job in the Austrian hotel and restaurant industry depends on your profile and the position. It usually varies from a few days to a few weeks. You will be informed immediately as soon as we have a suitable offer.
Is the job placement free of charge for me?
Of course, the placement process is free of charge for applicants in the hotel and gastronomy sector in Austria. We receive our remuneration directly from the employers in accordance with the statutory provisions.
Do I need to speak German for a job in Austria?
The requirements for German language skills vary depending on the job and career level. For positions in housekeeping or as a kitchen assistant, basic knowledge is usually sufficient. For jobs with more intensive customer contact, such as at reception or in the service area, advanced language skills are required. A perfect knowledge of German is anyway not essential, as companies are aware that they are hiring international workers.
Which job positions can you place?

Companies that are open all year round mainly offer permanent contracts, while companies that operate seasonally offer fixed-term contracts for the duration of the season. The winter season usually runs from November to April, the summer season from June to October, although variations are possible.
How are working hours regulated in Austria?
Working hours in the Austrian hotel and catering sector vary depending on the company and position. For full-time employment, you can generally expect a 5 to 6-day week and a working week of 38 to 48 hours.
